The organisation supports parents/carers of children from primary school age through to teenagers.
WHO WE ARE
The Lewisham Education Group strives to empower black parents/ carers by providing them with comprehensive educational support. Our team of experienced professionals is committed to helping black children excel academically, with a focus on bridging the attainment gap between them and other racial groups. We also serve as a pressure group, advocating for equal opportunities for students of African/African Caribbean and mixed heritage descent in the Lewisham education system. We believe that every child can flourish and reach their true potential. Who they become tomorrow, is essentially the outcome of how they are encouraged, educated and nurtured today. The Lewisham Education Group aims to support the parents/carers of these children/young people so they can fully embrace their cultural identity and gain the education, self-confidence and skills they need to thrive and fulfil their goals and dreams.
